Research indicates that two-thirds of disabled individuals are not aware of how to seek legal advice concerning their rights, making this initiative particularly vital and timely.
Furthermore, the initiative will initially be rolled out across various regions, including North East and North West England, East of England, and the Midlands. It aims to deliver support on disability discrimination cases, predominantly focusing on consumer-related issues. The service will be accessible to law firms, advice centres, charities, and the public, thereby broadening its reach and impact.
London-based Cloisters Chambers lends its expertise to this scheme, enhancing the initiative’s capacity to address legal discrimination comprehensively. The combined efforts of these organisations are crucial in ensuring justice is accessible and discrimination is openly challenged.
