ActiveOps, a company headquartered in Reading, announced plans to enhance its marketing team with the goal of accelerating client acquisition. By expanding its workforce, the firm intends to capitalise on recent profitability gains. The decision to grow follows a notable boost in profits during the second half of the year, signalling robust business health and opportunity for expansion.
The company specialises in AI-powered data analytics, catering to healthcare and financial services sectors. It aims to add five new team members in the UK, South Africa, and North America by late 2024, with additional investments anticipated in Canada later on. The expansion aligns with the company’s strategy to deliver significant improvements to its top-line growth starting from October 2025.
Executive Chair Richard Jeffery expressed confidence in the company’s financial position, noting that the firm is not limited by capital in its growth aspirations. “We’re not constrained by our capital in terms of our ability to grow which is a great place to be,” he shared. The company sees the potential to eventually expand its sales workforce significantly as opportunities arise.
ActiveOps recently reported a 10% increase in revenue, reaching £14.3m for the six months ending 30th September, and its pre-tax profits surged nearly fourfold to just under £500k. However, despite these positive financial indicators, shares in ActiveOps fell by 10.8% to 113.7p by the close of trading in London, reflecting possible market fluctuations or investor concerns.
Currently, the company employs nearly 200 people across various global locations, including the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, India, and South Africa. The organisation’s comprehensive re-platforming of its core technology four years ago enhances its capacity to respond effectively to emerging AI initiatives, further supporting its expansion plans.
ActiveOps is strategically positioning itself for continued growth through targeted marketing expansion and technological advancements.
