The female workplace health platform HeyFlow, based in Bristol, has successfully secured £235,000 in funding from Aer Venture Studios. This investment is intended to bolster the development and architecture of HeyFlow’s technology platform and its employee insight product. The aim is to reach a broader range of business clients, thereby advancing workplace equality for women.
Aer Venture Studios’ Directors, Geoff Wells and Tom Harber, are set to take active roles in guiding the future direction of HeyFlow. Geoff Wells will take a seat on the board, illustrating the commitment of Aer Venture Studios to support innovative, women-led startups.
Co-Founder Sophie Creese of HeyFlow described the funding as an important endorsement of their mission to promote reproductive health inclusion and to close gender gaps in the workplace. She expressed, ‘At a time where only a small percentage of investment goes to female-founded companies, Aer Venture Studios’ belief in HeyFlow sends a clear message that innovative, women-led start-ups are worthy of investment.’
HeyFlow’s new employee insights platform is designed to reshape workforce dynamics, promoting meaningful changes in women’s inclusion. This strategy is expected to help organisations not only retain but also promote talent, enhance profitability, and move towards creating a more equitable future.
Studies highlight that 31% of women experience severe reproductive health symptoms annually, while 85% face at least four different reproductive health issues. Moreover, women with children experience a 60% drop in earnings post their first child compared to their male counterparts. HeyFlow’s platform aims to tackle these challenges head-on by fostering environments that support women in their careers.
The investment in HeyFlow underscores a pivotal moment for female-led tech initiatives towards achieving gender equity in the workplace.
