HR Path, a global leader in human resources (HR) consulting, has announced its acquisition of IN-RGY, a prominent HR consulting firm based in Canada, specialising in digital HR transformation. The move is set to strengthen HR Path’s international presence and its ability to offer cutting-edge HR solutions across the globe.
IN-RGY, which has built a strong reputation within the Canadian market, brings expertise in HR digital transformation, with established partnerships with renowned providers such as SAP SuccessFactors, WorkForce Software, and UKG. The acquisition underscores HR Path’s ambition to expand its global footprint and further consolidate its position as a leader in HR transformation services.
A Strategic Move
The acquisition comes on the back of a long-standing relationship between the founders of both companies. While IN-RGY had been seeking opportunities to extend its global reach through acquisitions, the shared vision between the two firms made joining HR Path a natural progression.
Sébastien Massicotte, Founder and CEO of IN-RGY, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, calling it a significant milestone for the Canadian firm. “By joining forces with a world-renowned company, we can expand our expertise and offer more innovative solutions to our clients. Our teams will also benefit from greater career prospects and opportunities to work on diverse international projects,” he said.
Marie-Soleil Boucher, President of IN-RGY, highlighted the added value that HR Path brings to IN-RGY’s service offering. “Through HR Path’s global resources, we can further enhance our innovative HR solutions and deliver exceptional results for our clients,” she said.
Growth Strategy
The acquisition is part of HR Path’s broader strategy, following a recent record €500 million fundraising round from private investment firm Ardian. This significant financial backing has enabled HR Path to accelerate its acquisition plans and cement its standing as a leading player in the HR transformation space.
Frédéric Van Bellinghen, Partner at HR Path, emphasised the alignment of IN-RGY’s mission with HR Path’s vision. “IN-RGY’s commitment to empowering organisations with innovative HR solutions resonates strongly with our own goals. Together, we will push the boundaries of HR technology and help businesses navigate the complexities of today’s evolving landscape,” he said. He also noted that the acquisition would enhance the company’s offerings in North America, particularly in providing solutions such as SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, and UKG.
François Boulet, co-founder and CEO of HR Path, echoed the sentiment. “We are delighted to welcome IN-RGY into the HR Path family. Their expertise and partnerships, particularly in the Canadian market, are key assets that align with our growth strategy as we aim to become a leading HRIS provider in North America.”
Seamless Transition
As part of the acquisition, IN-RGY will continue to operate under its existing brand but will be rebranded as “IN-RGY, an HR Path Company.” The company’s leadership team and employees will remain in place, ensuring a seamless transition for clients and uninterrupted service.
The acquisition was facilitated by Desjardins Capital and Siparex through their Transatlantic Fund, aimed at supporting the growth of companies in both European and North American markets. Desjardins and Siparex leaders hailed the transaction as a key step in achieving their mission of supporting cross-Atlantic expansion projects.
This acquisition marks a significant step for HR Path as it continues to expand its global reach and build on its strengths in HR digital transformation, enabling the company to offer more comprehensive services to clients worldwide.
