Since its launch in 2011, Newcastle-based Ignite has played a crucial part in the entrepreneurial journey of over 500 founders. Through mentoring, workshops, and introductions to key investors and entrepreneurs, Ignite has created a formidable support network for burgeoning businesses.
The accelerator boasts several successful exits in recent years, highlighting the effectiveness of its model. Notable among these are the acquisition of GridFinder by RAFA Racing, the acquisition of Writefull by Digital Science, and the purchase of a majority stake in Guardian Angel by Octopus Group.
Beyond facilitating exits, Ignite’s alumni have collectively raised over £200m in early-stage funding and contributed significantly to job creation. This financial traction is a testament to the foundational support provided by the accelerator, which empowers founders to pursue global ambitions from inception.
