Oxa, a prominent self-driving vehicle software group backed by Google, has strategically acquired StreetDrone, an Oxford-based startup specialising in industrial logistics. This acquisition aims to bolster Oxa’s position in the industrial logistics domain by integrating StreetDrone’s solutions with its existing software expertise.
Oxa has been at the forefront of developing autonomous vehicle software, supporting the implementation of self-driving bus and shuttle services. By acquiring StreetDrone, Oxa seeks to enhance its offerings in industrial logistics by capitalising on the latter’s experience in managing goods across ports, fulfilment centres, and logistics hubs.

StreetDrone, with its assets valued at approximately £166,000 as of 2023, joins Oxa to collectively advance the deployment of autonomous systems.
